Use spot meter for your main subject in high contrast situations where your subject is the brightest part of the shot. I don't know if you have spot metering available on that camera though. Check that LCD for blown highlights next time... my guess is that the potential of this shot will inspire you to do better when you come across such lighting again. Once in a lifetime shot, too bad, its really begging for some montage work, but because of the lighting I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who doesn't work with PS all day. Thanks for sharing.

its a great shot tom, but you're right, the kids are a bit overexposed. i guess you could have stopped down little bit or else moved around.... but its always easy to say that after the fact. a good effort nonetheless. james

Appealing,, very attractive and brilliant use of this sun beam it goes direct to the persons, although it washed the and over exposed the kids but the idea is marvelous. Saeed
