It looks like what we call foxglove to me, alternatively digitalis - did have some in the garden for a while. They are very attractive to bees and I have some transparencies with a bee buzing around after the nectar, one day I'll scan one or two. Fabulous photo George, beautiful colours and lighting.

If I'm not mistaken I believe this flower is called "fox tail". Wonderful colors. The flower is so beautiful that it pratically composes itself.
