Heidi this is a wonderful image...I can't believe you did this...I'm terrified of bees, one bee and I'm gone, and you got a swarm of them...I love the way they completely fill the frame..good use of repetition...Well done...:):)Linda

I actually got very close to them - less than a foot away. I like bees! The risk was minimal - when swarming bees are less likely to sting because they have no hive to protect. Also, I hadn't been drinking alcohol, which they apparently can smell on your breath, and don't like.

Terrifying image but well captured, I hope you didn't have to get too close to them. Filling the frame with them has increased it's impact and also made the most of their amazing colours.
