This is a wonderfully colourful, bold, graphic, symmetrical, frame-filling photo!

I agree, this is surreal and I would have stopped as well.
Good choice on the Fuji5000, Melanie; it's got some of the best color in cameras in that range.

I have walked this walkway a number of times but only ever in daylight and have always thought it very impressive, your shot shows it to be far more so at night.
