Thanks Antonio. I would like to think that my soul is brightly coloured to indicate happiness in life.

Great colours and patterns, Judi. Would have preferred to see the central blue stone as the main focus, but everyones different. Cheers, Ann.

The color in your life adds color to mine also, dear Judi. Congatulations for the SC. Thank you for your very kind comment on my "From the field 1", my "Incredible, edible eggplant" and my "From above." The two latter ones were inspired by Rachel. Best regards, Rafi

wow, very pretty! Once again, you've managed to capture brilliance and make it look even more brilliant. I love the detail you captured with the light glimering off the gems like that. :)
I agree with Angelo, though, that perhaps the focus should be slightly changed. The Blue gem does seem to be the place where the eye wants to go to, but since it is out of focus, it makes it harder to look at. One other thing that might help would be to light the center gems more, and have the outer gems fade into shadow. That would look really cool. :)
But great work, and it looks beautiful!

Spot on DOF and lovely vivid colours (where are those sunglasses??? ;-) ) Love the composition too with the green in the foreground leading the eye back into the shot. Lovely!!!

Nice subject, Judi.
Ideally, I'd love to see the selective focus isolate some particular feature. Maybe the blue stone, maybe some green detai, maybe a line of pearls.
Here it seems to fall on the small pink mirror, which does not seem a distinctive enough feature.

Thanks Jeanette. I was starting to get a bit worried about this image. These beads aren't actually on a dress. This is a beaded hair ornament that I stitched myself about 8 years ago. It is backed onto leather and surrounded with a golden glitter.
