About	India is a land of a thousand celebrations, both regional and national. As in any temple festivals in Kerala, here too elephants are a part of the processions. Celebrated every May-June for twentyseven days this festival in Kottiyoor temple in North Kerala attracts tens of thousand of pilgrims from around the state. For the other eleven months this place is not to be visited and will be left as such where wild animals throng and wild plants begin to grow without any human intervention. Nature is respected very much and the location of this temple is in the midst of a forest surrounded by huge hills.

Interesting.

I never seen the elephant procession in Guruvayoor temple. Would love to see all those decorated elephants. May be some day.
