About This shot was taken last year at a show in San Diego where my son is stationed and this a vehicle that he is trained to work on. It is normally just a drap grey/blue color which really didn't give the feeling I wanted in this image. So with a little PS magic I think this portrays the proper feeling.

Manu, Thanks for your comment. The problem I have is when to stop playing around!

Angelo, I know exactly how you feel. I was just adjusting the white balance when at the extreme end I saw that "rescue" on the door that I didn't even see in the original. I felt that this was the stronger image even if it was more artificial. Thanks for your comment, especially from someone with such a distiguished portfolio.

I usually don't go for overworked PS stuff, but in this case I must admit that you have created something nice and with impact.

You did start with a solid image, clean from distractions and with the subject clear and big in the frame. Get the basics right, and you will usually be ok.

Dottie, My son is in the Navy and is in for full term. Almost 12 years so far. I have the highest regard for all the people who work at the helping for others such as yourself. I am sure you are very proud of your sons, but you still got to worry a bit during these times.

IS your son Marine or Navy. My younger son graduates MCRD this month, the 17th. I'll be there, can't wait! My older son finished his tour with the MArines last year, he went to Parris Island though. Nice shot, the title drew me in too, since I'm a paramedic. :) Dottie

Yes Mary that is pretty much what I wanted. A strength in that it would do the job of rescue as well as being a military vehicle. I've posted the pre PS version under this post if your interested.

Thank you for your nice comment. Please take a look at the pre ps version here. you can see why I did such a radical editing.
BTW, thanks for adding me to your Friends list. It is an honor.

You have created an ominous yet hopeful feeling. I don't know if that's what you were going for. That's what is says to me--which is appropriate for a rescue helicopter.
