One of my daughter's plastic necklaces draped over a cheese grater, with a candle inside. Shot with a no-name Minolta mount lens on a homemade adapter / extension tube.
Hey Mary, I was actually just playing with my "frankenlens" assembly (there's some PVC pipe, hobby board, and the filed down front lens mount plate from a Minolta X700 involved, all glued and/or bolted together and stuffed in a T-ring), trying (and failing horribly) to reproduce a macro shot made by Paul at skinnybuzzard.com. Once I realized I wasn't going to get it, I saw the candle on the desk, and my daughter's necklace, and just started playing around. The thing that triggered this shot was the realization that the grater was hollow...
Fantastic image. The colours and effects are brilliant and the idea is unique. Well done Joe and thankyou so much for your wonderful comment on my image.
