The lighting is somewhat harsh, but I did intend it to appear that way - a bit of PS. I wanted very high contrast. Just for you, I may take to original and post it - less modified. Seriously, thanks for the criticism - this was one of my first shots.

the lighting is simply too harsh for this kind of photography...you could try putting a thin white cloth on top to filter out some of the harsh lighting.
