Well shot Petal... but as Angelo pointed out it is a bit over exposed and not as crisp as your normal standard.... My turn for a niggle!!! :-D

Hi Angelo, Thanks for the comments.... On the out of focus part... I agree that the mimosa flowers could've been crisper... the leaves are, it was windy so that can happen and sometimes there isn't time to do a couple of shots (as I would've liked...) and checking on the camera screen doesn't always show these little 'blurs' that become obvious on 'the big screen'... ;-D. The overexposure... right again... and here time or more the lack of it was the reason that I couldn't take a few shots with different settings (the two I can change on my 'grand camera'.. compensation and lighting 'color'... ;-D!!!). In a nutshell: somethings can't be changed and you have to make do with what you've got....!!!

Very nice composition, Petal. I like the ay the items are placed within the frame. Very good eye for a photo!
On the negative side, it overexposed (little detail in the highlights) and out of focus...
On the Ixus, you should be able to press the Functions button and dial in some exposure compensation. About -1 should do the trick in this situation.
