Icy blue waters? Not hardly. The average year around temperature of the Indian ocean water in the Seychelles is 84F. How do I know, I lived on Mahe from mid April to mid November 1966 just after spending the previous eleven months at Thule Air Force Base, Greenland (about 450 miles north of the Arctic Circle.

Dear Angelo, Basically yes, It's one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen (see CB comments, first time I've heard from someone I know that's been there) . They actually used to (maybe still do) shoot alot of Fashion work for the big magazines on Le Digue cause of it's unique beauty and the granite rock they have sticking out on shore everywhere. The only problem is, as CB mentioned, it's not exactly cheap but that's probably why they can keep it in the state it's in and not turn it into some mini Honolulu or something. If you can get a good price on a package out of London I would definitly try to go. I'm gonna try to go one more time + hit Zanzibar which I missed on this trip (which was a few years back). Take Care, Mark

Was there, spend all my money that time, but still, I remember the Seychelles and especially Le Digue as the most beautiful place I've ever seen. Thanks for bringing back some memories wit that wonderful shot! CB

Looks idyllic.
Once again the colours look a bit shifted to blue/cyan... or are the sands really pure white?

Stunning capture! Beautiful tone and colours! Makes me wanna fly there immediately, and dive into the crystal-clear icy blue waters.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing.

Oh wow...that's gorgeous. One more name on my list of places to go... The people on the beach look a little washed out though.
