About This was shot in Rio at the well known club which if I recall correctly is called "Tropicana". Last time I was there I was kicked out half way through the show because the non - Brazilian manager said my equipment was "too profession" (I had my white Canon 100-400 L zoom on my EOS 3 (I think the White Lens threw him). Our arguement in the street must have woken up half of Rio (sometimes traveling isn't all that much fun). I'm ALWAYS amazed how people are put in important, decision making positions that really don't belong there. A very fasinatingly dumb business move but I would go back again in a second. A great place to get shots of the wonderful Brazilian Dancers and Costumes. No PS used - Full Frame. I'm sure I pushed the film to at least 800 (if not 1600)

Love the colortone, and the burnt out feeling it has!

Dear CB and Angelo, it's called "club manager idiots that don't understand business". Some how these guys don't get that a full club = maximum cash inflow = a more secure, higher paying position. It's a simple formula and what's really ironic was the time I was "asked to leave" (it was a different visit then when I shot the above photo) the place was about 2/3rd's empty and I had noticed that the stage curtain was slightly frayed - place was starting to really need some remodeling. We have plenty of guys like that in this country - some get it and some don't. I don't get THEM.

Photo opportunity excellent mastered. Never understood the toooo professional-policy. Sometimes my non flash cam is not allowed, but little flash cams are...Maybe one day I understand that?!?!?!

Beautiful effect from the colour cast. It really works to hot-up the image here. Not that it needs much hotting up!

This whole stuff about "too professional" equipment is a big joke. I suppose if a real pro showed up with a Leica he would be none-the-wiser!

Whata a dumb@$$...
