About	This is part of a display these loons make to try to scare off an intruder or predator. They will dive under water, then jump out, and continue, sort of "porpoising". This loon was chasing a herring gull.

Hi Steve I hope to come to alaska soon to shoot bald eagles, I have neve seen one. I am posting this as I have a site in progress but almost finished and wanted to ask you If I could put a link to you site from mine? The content and your experience is wonderful and would be at the top of my list on my links page. I do not ask for a link in return. I have posted a forum message for those that wish to have a link to there work all will not be accepted, but yours would be at the top of the list.

Haven't been able to get on the net lately, so I didn't answer Ned's question. I always use a tripod. I generally use Aperture Priority.

wonderful capture!
i'm curious to know what exposure mode you use for such shots. i usually use aperture priority on my camera with max. aperture size (f/3.5-6.3) to blur the background and have the max. possible shutter speed.

DO you use a tripod?
