The hard life they lead does not come through in the photo. The photo is quite cheerful in my opinion.

Dear Miguel, thanks for your PS work:) W&B is also touchable and meaningful... For me sepia is always more dramatic... But in sepia the color of the child's shirt can distribute the meaning of the shot couse W&B can be a choice...

Canden this is great. The color highlights the textures in the old building. The direction of the street accross the photo draws one eye to the little child. The fact that he is in color holds ones attention there as it should be. Wonderful. I know what you mean I would need a city to take home all those I wanted too. lol
