About 1600 iso, late afternoon light (I saw this little girl in the tree with this long piece of material--acting as a sort of skirt, I think--hanging down. I know her face isn't visible, but it wasn't meant to be a portrait; I couldn't really post it here if it were because I don't have permission from her family..)

beautiful I love the look. I really like how you can't see her face. it gives it that extra mysterious look. I love it.

Love it Michael! This is fantasic - I know you didn't plan it, but the fabric, the way she's in the tree, even the hidden face makes this KILLER. Great tone too.

Gorgeous tones. I like not seeing her face, she represents children that like to climb trees.

beautiful tones - reminds me of a Cameron shot from the early 20th century - I like the whole feel of this one - including the turned away posture - K

CorrieLynn, I added a slight blur to the outer perimeter because it seemed to finish a little too abruptly at the edges. I didn't intentionally leave her face out (I was focussing so intently on framing the shot at a more "macro" level), but it may be just as well because: 1) I don't know this little girl or the parents of this little girl, so I couldn't display it as easily because I don't have their permission, 2) maybe it's a little more "mysterious" this way? I agree that a cheek and/or some eyelashes without revealing her identity wouldn't be a bad thing--might be a good thing--but I'm not likely to be able to recreate the shot...with *her* at least. Perhaps, though, I could use this tree again with someone else....:) Thanks for your comments!

This is beautiful, tones are so good! I like the slight blur in the corners...was that the way it turned out or did you do that with photo software? Also, i like the postitioning of her arm and hand, it has grace and a certain softness to it that isnt easily acheived.

I hope you post one with a bit more of her face. She wouldnt have to even be looking fully at the camera...just a cheek with some eyelashes or something.
Beautiful work, well done.
