Hi Irenka, This photo reminds me of the Poppy flower field painting by Monet. The thing is that monet used the bright red to make his essentially grey field look green by using the optical illusion and higher perception of the eye for reds. In this case, it seems to be the other way around, with a fairly high level of saturation in the greens, which probably makes the poppies look a bit pink. Yet I do like this image, the spring feeling is very strong; and the layered quality (by different colours of flowers) is excellent. I would only crop off a bit of the top of the image, which shows more brownish tones.
Thanks for your comments, and a merry christmas to you too
Cheers,
Hugo

I like the bands of red and yellow, with a hint of blue in the middle. I would perhaps have cropped a little more at the top to remove that darker band. AJ

It was even more impressive in contract with dark stormy skies... but the buildings in-between were not so photogenic! ;)
