I personally really like the light in this picture, offering great contrast. If the tiles had been uniformly lit, the photo would have been very boring I think. Good job also in emphasizing depth in a predominately flat image.

good idea and good choice of turning it into black and white
but the light seems a bit off, his face is too dark to see te eyes and the light seems to hit the wall strongly, wish I could give you an advice to how to manage the light but im not so good with light
but my suggestion would be placing a fill light or a diffuse light source from a lower point to light up the face while keeping the same light you used but diffuse it so it wont be too strong on the wall
