Ansel Adams??? Quem me dera baixasse o espírito... ou entao o do Cartier-Bresson. Um que esta vivo mas gostaria que baixasse o espírito é o Steve McCurry... :)
Sempre me intriguei por paisagens em p&b. Uso o Channel Mixer do Photoshop para fazer a conversao para mono e tenho uns tres ou quatro arquivos de parametros para efeitos diferentes (imitando um filtro vermelho ou um filtro verde, por exemplo).

O que é isso? Recebeu o espírito de Ansel Adans, bela foto, normalmento não gosto do P&B vindo do digital, mas esta foto está ótima.

This looks like another one of those interesting views Angelo..I like the tones and the composition with most of the action forming a diagonal, that old tree and the rocks surrounded by those tall and wispy grasses are very nice, funny because I didn't even notice the chain until it was mentioned in one of the posts...oh well...Nicely done my friend...:):)Linda

Thanks for the comment, Roland.
I wanted to leave that part of the mountain dark, to show some of the dramatic light that was going on. Dark on the hill but brightening towards the distance.

Hello Angelo, I like the foreground rocks & tree it takes the eye to the rest of the image, however I find the mountain on the left to be dark, that could've been dodged in PS. Other than that a fantastic composition. Thanks much for the recent comment, I was aware of the foreground issue but image was shot from an overlook that didn't have any interesting element in front to utilize as.

Agora, vou falar um pouco da minha imagem:
Esta senhora é uma troglodita, vivem debaixo da terra, junto com seus animais. As casas são quentes no inverno e frias no verão, mas nessa zona aqui não chove há 100 anos pelo que ouvi dizer, é uma vida muito dificil...

I am pretty sure I could get rid of the chain if I wanted to. It just doesn't annoy me that much and I think it helps tell the story of this picture.

Very charming photo and well done in monochrome. I think eliminating the sky is fortunare as it would have detracted from the main objects, the rocks and tree. I sure would be tempted to get out PhotoShop and see if I could get rid of that chain.
