Kenneth,
Thanks. To get this look the important things are to use a telephoto to compress the image and a wide open aperture to minimize DOF, and of course having the backlighting through the leaves.

Nice pattern shot. The sharp leaves at lower right suggest something there or elsewhere on that tree for a full frame play on line and shadow.
