Pat,
Lovely use of the letterbox frame. It really suits this image so well. I love the way the stem meanders through the frame and is rounded off by the beautifully lit flower head.
Splendid work.

Wonderful title for this gorgeous photo. Gives me an idea to go check out my daisies that have been hidden by an overgrown plant. Thanks!

Hi, Pat!
Stem shadow cast emphasizes that the picture was taken in live, natural environment that makes it all the way more preferable..well, at least to me. I've noticed quite a while back that analog is more vivid not in terms of colors but in terms of life..
You're recognisable. :)

not to think next to the stem that it is crossed from other. is not a problem is the photo that is alive! thanks to you.. see you later, e grazie ancora per parlare in italiano.. io lo apprezzo molto roby

Yes, I did try that. It lost something in the composition. And I can't just remove the part that crosses the stem, the depth is wrong. If I take the whole thing out then I think there needs to be something else over there. So, after much thought I decide to just leave it be....

Hi pat.. one other optimal photo in this case the soggeto is in full light, where it wants to go, it is attracted from the light, every living is attracted from the light. perhaps an optimal photo. the stem can mean that the life is not always straight, but the arrival is always optimal! cheers roby

Wonderfully done. I would however clone out the stem on the left hand side of the upright flower.

excellent idea, the curve and leaning of the flower makes us feel of the need to light, or maybe showing its beauty to us all

Absolutely beautiful! The white is extremely bright but I can see the creases in the petals on my monitor.

Lol... Actually, Over exposing is a hazard with color slides. (not forgiving at all) But, the petals look very white on my monitor but not blown out. The print looks Okay too... Can you see the creases in the petals?

Wonderful!! Love the panoramic horizontal composition. great leading lines too. Well done! Whites do look completely blown out on the petals...limitation of both film and digital apparently (sorry couldn't resist! :-)

You better not - film snob! :) I LOVE the curve of that stem Pat! What a neat lay on that flower and it doesn't seem to be tilted either. Fabulous work on the color and focus too. I am loving daisy's more and more since joining UF... :) Film Rules!
