i have something similar to this as well. Animals at the zoo are wonderful to get up close but at the same time I always leave feeling sad because they are locked up.

Unusual image. Not everday someone is brave enough to take a photo with bars in it. Poor fellow looks so cross! Cute creature that should really be free.

Hi Mike, I am against the caging of animals also. I don't think the "modern" zoos are a cure for this problem either. The man-made habitats are too small. Thought provoking shot. Well done.

Oh, dear - a great picture, but the subject is a sad one. Hope he doesn't seem this miserable all the time!

Thanks Ann, I would love to go back and get a sharper shot of him in this instance, but I don't want to see that look again, this is to remind me one of these days I want to set up something of a better enclosure as you have described.

I hate seeing animals behind bars. I don't mind the more modern zoos that have a more natural looking enclosure, but this poor little fellow looks very miserable. Such a human expression on his face. A pity it wasn't a little sharper focused. Cheers, Ann.

Stunning capture! I love his expression. Poor creature, I wish him to be freed. I think he's recollecting his memories of his home with lush trees, good food, friends and family.
