About At some point, all children of avid photographers need to put that shutterbug parent in his/her place..;) (Maybe she didn't like me taking a picture of her while she had food on her face?!) Thanks for the "color treatment" Jan..:) 400 iso

Wow wow wow!! Is it okay for me to say you NAILED the colors?!! I love it when you don't "see" that something's been tweeked, you just "see" something you love! What a capture, Mike...that face!! Would love to hear what she has to say about this one 20 years from now! I love it!

David, I had the Canon 24-70 f/2.8L for a little while (mostly because I wanted the best lens I could get for shooting a wedding), but I ended up selling it because it wasn't so impressive that it was worth the $1150 IMHO. So, I sold it and bought the Canon 17-40 f/4.0L and the Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 and am much happier with the extended coverage I have with the two zooms for less than the price of the 24-70. I've been quite happy with the Tamron lens; it's actually seemed to get better with use (if that's possible). You need to be careful with buying this lens though; I keep hearing cases of people getting bad copies of it and having to send it back. I would recommend buying it locally so you can test and/or easily return it if you don't get a good copy. This lens rates very highly at photo equipment rating sites like http://www.fredmiranda.com/reviews/. Good luck with your decision!

thats just too funny! :) I really like this one!

How do you like that lens (28-75/2.8 from Tamron)? It might be a less expensive alternative to the original Nikon lens (which is brilliant, but maybe more than I need).

If there's one thing you can say about my daughter, it's that she feels things *deeply*..;)
