Lea, Thanks for the PS tip. I usually have it set at .6 pixel and tolerance of 1 and start getting nervous as I go over 100%. I'll try your settings and see what I get. Eric

Eric, I know what you mean by the oversharpened look. I see many of them on this site. After you have resized the image to fit UF requirements try using unsharp mask set at about 140%..1 pixel...tolerence of 3...then adjust the percentage down from there. On most images that will work. Then use the "save for web" feature and check the preview page. If you like what you see, great...if not click cancel and readjust. Let me know if this helps. Occasionally, you may have to increase the pixel radious upward...but be careful doing that...it can really cause the oversharpened look.

Brian thanks for your comment. Like I said to Lea, I'm just a bit leery of oversharpening and ending up with a "digital" look. I guess I just need to make a little better friends with PS. Eric

Lea, Thanks for taking the time to comment. I originally did have a bit more unsharp mask dialled in when editing, but I'm always leery about taking it too far and ending up with an oversharpened digital look... Eric

Nice shot and good composition but could be a little sharper.

Good use of DOF and nice composition. It appears to me to be just a little soft...a bit more sharpwning perhaps?
