"Outstanding" é uma palavra ótima, pois ajuda a descrever muito bem o que penso dessa foto. Adorei o verde, os tons estao muito bons e a presenca de um único fio de grama em foco é uma idéia excelente e muito bem bolada.

Simple but effective!
You've created a very pleasing image.
Going back to a comment you left for me, the plural of greenfly can be either 'greenfly' or 'greenflies' (had to look it up in the dictionary though!) - so we were both right.
Next time, I'll stick to aphid - the plural of which is aphides - I checked :)

Minimal and original composition.
Very well done.

Thanks Kenneth - You also seem to go for the "simple" graphic lines approach - nice portfolio you have - particularly the "chives" pic.

PS or not it's 100% justified! Very good idea!

Well, now! I'm going to have to try that!

Thanks for the explanation and for posting the original. I have loads of mediocre images that might be a candidate for a similar treatment.

And thank you for the kind remarks about my portfolio. Very thoughtful of you.

Many thanks for the effusiveness!
How? well, it's one pic, where I masked this stalk off and on the remainder applied motion blur (lots of it) in the (more or less) same angle as the stalk was reaching at. To give it some more kick I duplicated the blurred layer, adding a gradient layer and then set this second layer to multiply as a blend mode. The original pic is attached.
By the way, congrats on your portfolio - you have some really oustanding flower shots

Do tell, do tell, do tell!! Is this a composite of two images?

You did a lovely job with the background. I cannot tell if you did that in PS or if you did it by vertically panning the camera as you shot.

So, how did you get the background so out of focus with that definite vertical alignment and maintain the one blade of grass as sharp as ever?

I'm glad that you chose to make the title so unobtrusive. It really would be just as effective a photograph without the text in the margin.
