james, this is a classic. not only a classic "landscape" but also a classic view of virginia (and the bay area in general). i can smell the coffee and hear the engine below me as i prepare the lines and the captain guides us out. all the while wondering "is it too early to open a beer?" ;^) you did well saving this one for the current project.
sorry for the late-ish reply but it seems i missed the email notification from uf on your last comment to me. i enjoyed our shoot immensely as well and would love to do it again. maybe in your neck of the woods? i just got a spiffy new D2X that needs to be excecised ;^) my schedule is fairly open so just let me know when you'd be up for it.

Wow James, everything has come together just right in this one. The nice graphic elements made by the silhouette, the rich colors in the sky, the silky water and the engaging wide angle perspective. Well composed and exposed. Very nice photo.
