Hi Angelo,
regarding the technique: Nope, this is no IR style this time. I just increased the power of the sky with a "darken" layer.

Well, you are stretching the definition of "silhouette" but who cares with results like this?
The sky looks straight out of your double-exposed IR work. Was there some kind of IR done here, I wonder?

Hi Evgeny,
sometimes words are made for misunderstandings ;-)
I see your point, thanks for the additional explanation. It's just that the word "fake" is a very negative for me - personally. It implies for me that the sky was for instance copied over the image. I know that there are different attitudes towards Photoshop polishing. My 2 cents are: There is a difference between layer works and manipulation ;-)
So thanks again for the additional explanation.

I realy didn't want to say it's fake. Of course i understand it is real. That's why i'v putten the word in quotation marks. I've just read your own comment to this work about photoshop...I also understand that it is essential to use PS. So i used word "fake" just to contrast the unreal(in the good meaning of this word) colour of the sky...
Evgeny.

Hi Evgeny,
Thanks a lot for the feedback. I'm not sure what you mean with "fake" sky. This sky is a real capture and just polished with levels work in Photoshop. Some 20 seconds layer operation.
best wishes,
Thilo

Interesting composition. It can't be sad obviously which building is of more importanse. Straightforwardness of the right building or curving of the left one. Also composition made so that the left building appears to be in background. Despite the "fake" sky picture is very nice. Important thing is that it is not flat but dimensional. At least for me.
Regards.

Thilo, This is almost a polar opposite to my latest bright and sunny shots :) It has a very industrial forboding mood to it. Power and strength are portayed. Maybe I am wrong, but there seems to be a slight hint of art deco in the bold style as well. Andre

Wonderfully dramatic and graphically well balanced image. I like the angled look to give it more of an abstract appeal. Well done.
