About Taken while hanging out of a window over this canal in Venice. It was late afternoon, and all was still. No one was moving ... the water revealed no movement ... and the boat is resting, tied along the granite wall.
I love the boat owners' choice of paint colors - a brilliant orange and a striking green.
It all makes for a nice piece of abstract art.

Nice shot and well spotted. I too think it would be even better with the concrete section cropped out. Still brilliant though!

it was like a puzzle unless no "about" :) so that means that's an outstanding "abstracts" picture ! congrats !

Tamas,
Thanks for your comment. I loved this image so much, that I took several shots, including one as you suggested. I don't know, for my taste, I liked the effect of the granite border, but I can't argue with your thought either.

the way this can be seen in so many ways. Like the small "hook" in the front and how it contrasts with the shape of the big green shape of the oppisite form. WILD. and of course silent and peaceful.

Mark, is a very good shot... but if the pavement wouldn't be in the shot than it would be a perfect abstract image ... at least in my opinion.

congrats, tamas
