Nice composition! The added grain effect makes for an interesting effect.

What an interesting abstract Laurie. I presume this is wrought iron or similar? The textures on the metal are wonderful. I also like the feel of this shot too. The graininess is superb. Well done!!!

Laurie I love this, love it...it's wonderful. I love the tones and the grain...the wrought iron looks fantastic here and I really like that you chose to compose it this way...I know it's wrought iron but with the grain added and the contrast between it and the background it really looks rather elegant to me...I'm sorry I'm so late to comment I didn't feel well yesterday and really fell behind in commenting..so glad I didn't miss this one...very well done and presented..It kind of reminds me of something out of the Edgar Allen Poe era...:):)Linda

Thanks for your comment Ian and its interesting that this image would make you think of death. This is a handle to a gate at the Tower at Bok Sanctuary. Edward William Bok died in Lake Wales within sight of the Tower on January 9, 1930, and is now buried at the base of the tower.

Appropriate title for this cold iron involution. Excellent though I meditate on my own fear of death here.
