Thanks David! Actually, I didn't need to change anything other than convert to b&w and boost the contrast. I had a black cloth behind the baby and mother!

a very classical idea done very well! I love the way that hand seems to have the shape of a candle flame. I guess you did some editing in PS to remove some background.

Angela... thank you! That is exactly what I felt when I saw it... a sculpture! The mom's fingers are so elegant. I even tried to think of a title that would describe it better but could't put my finger on it. It also reminds me of a tulip!  )

I hvae seen this particular shot many times before but never this way, perfectly up and down. And I have to say this is the best way I've ever seen it. It looks like a statue, perfect curving lines. Well done.
