About Yes, I get some of my wild ideas from many photographers and well known , famous artist as well.
In this case, this photo that has as a central focus ( along with other artifacts-if you look carefully) A green chrch street sign, or prehaps the red wall. Tignall, Ga. is a tiny town located in Wilkes County, Ga. Oh, by the way I got this inspiration from famous photographer STEPHEN SHORE. One of the pioneers of the "new color" in photography. It was a gloomy day weatherwise in Ga. that day in May 2005

Chuck,

At first glance, I thought of Stephen Shore ... even before reading your caption. Great tribute shot (and fantastic taste in photographers)

You have a photographer's treasure in this town of Tignall. I like the documentary style, color instead of B+W. There are no humans shown (maybe there aren't any left) but I suspect we can almost tell what they're like by inspection of the buildings and artifacts, all crafted and touched by them. Too bad the benches out front are no longer used!

Thanks for great comment and yes, the history of photography is being forgotten and not talked about much.
Keep up good work.

...I do see the similarities between this and a Shore image - I am struck by your love of the classic and new (or not so very new in Shore's case) photographers and their great images - how many photographers really have a feel and love of these images by the "greats"? - sad to say most do not know who they are - I love to go to the library ot better yest to a gallery and see some of these great classic images (one of my favorite books that I do own is "New Color, New Work" - they inspire and uplift me - I like your image here and must say keep up your great work - Kev
