Great capture Del, last time I saw these were on Cyprus. They cost me a fortune in replacing my son's plastic soccer balls !!!
Best wishes, Steve

Margaret, Those are not really flowers, they are the base that is left after the flowers fall off. When it bloomed that is where the petals of the flowers were attached. Del.

Del that is a very large cacti - I guess it can grow as big as it likes, not to be messed with LOL Good detail - I had a fiddle to try and get a bit more colour in the flowers - sew what you think Margaret

Oh my goodness, it is a large cactus. And right near a walk way. I wonder how many people it has prickled. I really like your crop on this filling the frame. Wonderful detail and colour. Great. MAry

Wow, nice detail and textures Del, I think I've seen these across the river from me in Illinois, where there is alot of sand in a huge area!

Superb detail Del. You used the correct aperture to maintain sharpness right across the image. Well done. You've reminded me of a cactus shot I took in Spain. I'll have to post it for you cos for us a cactus is a rarity (other than in garden centres etc) Den
