Hi Peter,
I'm coming back to this one again because you mentioned that you didn't really plan the wall being in the picture. A couple of weeks ago I snapped a couple of some of our hanging plants and also got a wall in the background. Not quite as pleasing results as yours, due to the weird angles. And the fact that it is just a plain old Petunia.

You captured this beautiful flower just right!
Funny how the contrast of the bricks in the background does not harm the shot one bit. You would think it might, but just the opposite. The flower and the bricks go well together.

Spectacular floral Peter...very nice DOF and color...the flower appears to jump right out of the photo.....although I know you ctach these where you can you might try darkening the background to make it a little lass distracting

I love stargazers although ours are not doing well this year. We usually have quite a stand but this year only a few are comming up and none in bloom yet.
I like the unusual background in this shot but it's too bad about the brown spot on the leaf. I hope you don't mind but I wanted to see how your shot looked with the brown spot cloned out.
