About The background is crummy, but I was just proud to get this nice shot of the beautiful wings. They are a challenge to shoot, and I can't wait to try it again.

Good capture. You're right about the wings - and about the background. A little judicious cropping at the top might cut out some of the distraction, if you feel very strongly about it.

Great lacy detail in the wings. Take what you can get with these lively little fellows... Very nice work. Don .

Thank you Peter for your comment. Yes I have been looking at Ronnie's photos all morning. He is probably my all time favorite in UF. I believe I could learn a lot from him. I was not at this location at the right time, the sun was bright, and so not very favorible. But this is what I was able to capture. I will go back in the early morning, and be more patient, for that super shot (I hope). Thanks again for looking, and your kind and welcome comment.

Teresa, Very nice shot! I really like the detail of the wings and you are right about them being a challenge to shoot. It's very hard to catch one that sits still for more than a second, if you have a camera in hand. No camera, and they will hang out all day it seems on a great location ;-)
Background doesn't look that bad and the colors are pleasing. Dwight

Well captured Teresa!! Good colors and sharpness. The most difficult thing in capturing these insects is the DOF. I have tried this several times......but with no real succes. Have you seen the photo's from RONNIE GAUBERT (an other usefilm member)? I found them inspiaryng to say the least. Sorry for the bad English, good luck.
