This is not what we might call a Happy Spider. Very menacing.

I'm glad you didn't harm the little spy but made a wonderful photo of it. I also never harm an insect I take a photo of and as much as possible behave in the same way when flowers are concerened. Thank you, dear Ursula, for your very kind comment on my "Christmas baby" and the information about your son. Best regards, Rafi

hmmm... Ermingilda... Didn't feed it to her rat did she? The armpit thing... I was looking at the thumbnail... I do burble incoherently sometimes... \ There is something incongruous about the spider in this setting that captures the energy of getting a fright finding it everytime I look at it. :)

Especially cool because the pink curtain so human and innocuous, not the sort of place I expect to find the lair of a hairy death monster.

Hi Ursula, beautiful cover of the spider, and well captured. Not an easy photo. Usually, the DOF tends to get too shallow ith super macro, but that isn't the case here. Both spider and texture of the fabric is well captured. Good to see more of your work!
Cheers,
Hugo
