I know it's a real plane but it does look like a model for some reason, not sure why exactly!?

Ça c'était un avion (le Messerschmitt)... malheureusement pour eux le Spitfire était beaucoup plus maniable et les pilotes pour s'en débarasser faisaient une virevolte et les reprenaient par derrière. Bon! assez! drilan

Beautiful plane. I like the composition excluding all distractive elements. It reminds me of my scale modeling period. I was doing WWII airplanes. Regards, Claude

Hey George, It looks fast and like it's "all engine" . Look at the size of that prop and engine compared to the rest of the plane. Excellent capture.
Cheers, -mm

George,
Thats a wonderfu info to go with this magnificent fighter plane.
I fly small planes- the Chesna. But never learnt much about history of planes. A fascinating subject.
Nice shot.
regards, ken.

You might be interested to learn, my friend, that it was planes like the one in your excellent photo that helped us, during the War of Independence, to beat the Egyptian Spitfires. They were supplied to us by countries behind the Iron Curtain. (1948-9) Thank you, George, for your very kind comments on my "Leaves on roof" and my "Multicolored key chains." Best regards, Rafi
