About ...of Antioch.

This was a stained-glass window in the chapel at Fort Sam Houston, Texas (established as an indian-wars and then Mexican-American war-era fort).

Cropped and lightly filtered in PS.

After reading the comments I thought I'd add mine. Being that this is from Fort Sam, San Antonio, TX, and being retired Army I can tell you exactly what this is. Rather than the "holy hand grenade" (I'm a Python fan too) this is the symbol of the Army Ordinance Corp of which I was a member for a few years as a mechanic. You can look up the history on "Google" I'm sure. There, no you know. Excellent photo.

Excellent job capturing the colors of the stained glass and the title put an immediate smile on my face. My only suggestion would be that you might want to try to correct the perpective in PS.

Usually.
THIS church, however, was on an Army base.

Nice shot. I think the hand grenade is actually an eternal flame...churches usually aren't big on windows picturing bombs ;- )

Stned glass is so dificult to capture well Paul but you got it right on the button here. f11 has given adequate DOF to maintain sharpness top to bottom. Real neat image.
Den

Right! Must be old age - it does something dreadful to the memory!

HI Paul,

GReat capture of this beautiful stained glass window.

These kinds of windows are so pretty, and you've really captured it well.

Len,
the "Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch" is a reference to Monty Python & The Holy Grail.
