About I just love the eyes of this fly. Not sure what type it is it could be a dance fly. Got a pretty good slow shutter speed capture this morning as there was virtualy no wind. I intended to highlight only the eyes.

Shutter Speed 1.5 sec.

Enjoy

:)Always, I really want you to be moreeeee critical. Thats how I learn. BTW, I might email ya cause I think one of my problems is over processing my photos. I am confident that my compositions and the actual pics are good but I am not happy with the end result and I attribute that to what I am doing in photoshop and how I deal with raw captures. If ya want to mentor (help) let me know:)

Now this is great. The detail is spot on, as is the lighting. I am pleased you took my critic well Jim. I love to help people and you always take it so well and learn from it. Thanks for that.

Thanks Alison, thats a great idea. Maybe one of these days I will be able to do that. The macro world really is a beautful world that folks do not get to view to often in a close up setting. Don't know how well it would sell but it would be a work of love. Thanks for all your comments:)

By the way it looks as though it is doing a jig on the stem - it could be a dance fly LOL what a marvellous capture James. I cannot believe those eyes, I have heard the expression - 'eyes being too big for the belly' [which I am sure you know about in the restaurant business] but never eyes too big for the body :) Just brilliant
