Thank you so much Himadri, I am delighted that you like them. I use a canon powershot 400.. a very cheap camera ($250) as I can't really afford anything else! Also I don't use any particular lighting techniques, mostly sunlight and indoor lighting! :)

i love ur pics ... especially the lighting ... however you dont mention any details about the camera u use, aperture etc. I have just started clicking and am fascinated by studio lighting practices. I will appreciate some tips from you about potriat lighting .... bute great pictures and i thing you make a lovely model as well

yes u are right,

thanks for the suggestion, i think i get lost between what do i want the subject to be.
I guess in this picture,the focus is more on the liitle trench in the ground adjacent to stone rather than the little stone.
Because the size of the stone is really small, so i have taken the picture from the same plane as the stone so that the size is not known. yes i thing a little clarity on the texture of the stone surface would have added more character to the picture.
Thanks once again for the fbulous suggesstions, keep them coming, liberally.

stone is not clear, ligh falling on it should create some character. than it would have added a flavor to the image. i feel if u have taken it from little higher angel from where u shot this would have come a nice pic.but anyway trail and error is the correct method. and most imp if u liked it this way than whose to mark an opinion.
but light reflectin' on the floor is good and is creatin a warm feelin' and background is mysterious fog moving freely their and darkness that rise my curiosity more to explore.
i like the background portion.
i feel u will be coming with stunning pic in few days or pherhaps tommorrow only
