your eye for this sort of stuff is certainly starting to bring out some fantastic photos that you really should be proud of!!
It's certainly not obvious that it is reflections on the water until you keep looking - and it adds a very difficult to describe mystique to your image.
I agree about the oval shape - hard to tell exactly whether it is the moon - or some spurious reflection but the light leads the eye to it - and personally I noticed that that looked a little bit "wrong" before I really noticed the sheer beauty of the fact that this is an image of the reflection on the canal.
Funny how you don't realise that you miss having canals around... after being so surrounded by them living in Chorley for so much of my life - it takes something like this to make you realise that they are a very british feature - not much in that way out here in NZ :)

This is beautiful. The soft tones and plants make a marvelous reflection. Very lovely.
The only thing is I find the sort of oval shape in the blue cloud a little distracting. I think taking it out would enhance your wonderful picture. I hope you don't mind my saying so.
