Thanks for the comments, and I like your shot, got the sun shining in, and I see the hotel on the right.

great shot.. congrats on the FC award.. I think having the building on the right is ok as well.. but I understand what Sean was talking about...I have some photos of the same spot, but can't find them as of now.. so I thought I would send a different version.. anyway, nice capture of my hometown, glad that you liked the city..

thank you Jerry and thank you for the info. Sadly enough I tried sight seeing and didn't get away from work enough, and didn't know what all of the items were, especially what the clock tower was named.

Nice shot...The 'clock tower' that everyone is referring to is City Hall. The statue on top is Billy Penn, the person Pennsylvania is named for. The building (Embassy Suites) on the right was originally the Plaza, a round hotel, as you mentioned. This is a very popular shot for those of us from the area. No wa to include the fountain without the building from this vantage point. Nice work

I reckon it would be nearly impossible to photograph the clock tower and the fountain without including the building on the right, in fact I think it enhances the picture, well done my friend.

Hey congrats on having this photo selected for Featured Critique of the Day. I too like the shot with the hotel in the pic. With the other buildings on the lefts and the leaves hanging down at the top left and the fountain on the bottom - really helps frame the what appears to be old clock tower. Jan

thank you Larry, I did want that building in there, just because it was where I was staying, and didn't think it looked that bad

Thank you Robby, and just to add slightly to the photo, I recently had a new arrival and oddly enough she weighed 7 Pounds and 11 ounces.

I don't agree with Sean...I think the surrounding buildings form a perfect cityscape frame for the fountain & tower...Nicelt composed and great color

Funny thing about that building, is that is the Embassy Suites where I was staying. Its the oddest shaped hotel I've been in, 3 elevators in the middle and 12 rooms all going out from the center on each floor. I know what you mean, it doesn't really go in this photo though.
This was taken at 1/200 and f7.1
Thank you for the comments.

Nice Photo - Great Color and exposure.
Suggestions: I wasn't there so I don't know exactly what your situation was, but if I was taking the photo I would have looked for a different background as the building on the right is a little distracting. If anything I would have seen how it turned out with the entire building in the photo or not at all. I think the clock tower was definitely a must!
I have to say I love the color..... If you could I would like to see Shutter/Aperture..
Thanks.
