About This is the first in an attempt to produce a "series". I have made five images that I will post in their B&W incarnation as well as their original color. My goal is the get some criticism on these images to determine whether or not I will print them and make my first approach to a local gallery. Thanks in advance for any and all comments.

I prefer this shot over the other. Again, I think this shot would look killer if you desaturated the color just a bit, darkened, and increased the contrast. While I'm not sure I would put them in a gallery as is, they ceratainly have tremendous potential. Great work.

This is very good. Much better crop... The foreground still bugs me a tad though.

To convey further that these are "forgotton" faucets, you might try going with more of a low-key effect, with selective lighting and focus, to produce an "alone" effect.

As I said before, this series has tremendous potential... Just needs a little clearer message...

If you're happy with it though, by all means, don't listen to a word I say! LOL. Sorry for all the free advice you never wanted. ;)

DOF is excellent, B&W is an excellent choice for this

Nice still life Tim & the tone is just right. Good job in the DOF, my only comment is the off focus light fixture (Lower Left) in the foreground w/c I find distracting but otherwise a great shot, best wishes.
