About The Ray and Maria Stata Center for Computer, Information, and Intelligence Sciences, designed by architect Frank O. Gehry, officially opened its doors on May 7. The building houses the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL), the Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems (LIDS) and the Department of Linguistics and Philosophy. Over 1000 students, faculty and staff now call Stata home.

The Stata Center is built on the site of MIT's beloved Building 20, a "temporary" timber-framed building constructed in World War II and later re-christened the "Magical Incubator" by its residents. Like Building 20, it is hoped that Stata will be a breeding ground for new ideas and innovative research.

Thanks Sal for noticing the light. I research when the light was best to portrait the building and I am glad that it worked so well. Again thanks my friend. Best regards, Andree

Hello Nour. My next move is to try to photograph the inside. From what I've seen the rooms are big, bright, and surgically perfect. I hope they let me in... o:) Andree

Oh come on Frank Gehry, i don't believe you, why all this deconstruction, to make photographers take a wonderful shots of it, but what about living in it ?
