Hi Marcus, awesome shot; razor sharp, and the dynamism by the movement of the wingtips is very effective. Very well panned. I should have a go at this too, one of these days... Not easy, to say the least. The f/16 works beautifully to reduce the shutterspeed; excellent choice!
Cheers,
Hugo

I think frozen is the wrong word to use. How about crystal clear with magnificient detail. This picture I am guessing (hopefully correctly) is using panning. I love it. Excellent job Marcus.

Marcus, Your shots are the best no blur or blur. This definitely shows wing action. I prefer no blur because you do it so well. Marilyn

The blur and the colours are fabulous here Marcus but my admiration in this one lies elsewhere. It is in your skill of using the panning technique. Knowing how fast these guys move, to capture the clarity of the body at 1/125th sec means you must have tracked this fella to perfection. All things put together you have produced yet another masterpiece. Den

And you did well in capturing such wildlife, in fact this has a very pretty natural movement and action, where the wings have that effect and true characteristics of flying. Super. Saeed

There will always be people who like the perfect sharpness, infinite detail kind of shots better. I think those kind of dynamic shots are just as interesting maybe have even more life.

Hi Marcus, Frozen / Action Blur. It's like apples and oranges. Obviously you know how to do both. This is a great example of the action blurr and should satisfy the critics of the frozen shots :)
I still haven't got any terns yet. They haven't come around lately. Andre
