I would not dare to take the credit of inventing the cd-spectrum technique. Many UF photographers use it already. See John Miller for example.
My picture experiments to use the combination of spectrum and dof to discriminate a 'celebrity' drop from 'public' drops.

Thanks Randy for your kind comments. These are water drops on the surface of a compact disc (to have the color spectrum). Light was supplied with an ordinary table lamp. PS used for cropping and frame only.
