I love the effect you achieved. and the black bldg looks so ominous and other worldly, without the picture seeming to be a trick. at first I thought this was a negative/positive montage, but its IR

Very successful experiment!
Can I ask how you've found your G2 on portraits?
I appreciate it very much,
baha.

Hi Kevin,

What did you do here, the Tiffen filter? I've read on Canon website that the G2 has a problem with IR....(I use this camera also) Something about the mirror....

But, this really looks great! Maybe I should give it a try.

Great composition here!
Very nice image,
Have a GR8 day and evening!
Lori :)

I have been tracking your IR shots - seems that the grain might be from under exposure. I know that I had to fiddle a lot to get the exposure right - the exposure graph preview on your camera should tell you if you are hitting the exposure correctly.

I know that I use a B&W IR filter and it is about 13 stops. This might get you close to the settings on your Canon.

Good results overall from the postings I've seen - I know setting up and taking the shots takes a lot of time.

I'll reserve judgement on this one Kevin. Not too sure about it.
