Hi Gyorgy - Isn't it the case that we find a lot to photograph when we visit foreign places, just because they are different, but sometimes the best gems are found around us. We need to learn how to look at familiar places with new eyes. Greetings, Ina

Thank you for your kind words, Ina. In fact, Szeged is a historic city, yes and no. It was founded in the Middle Ages, in 1241, but a devastating flood of our river destroyed almost everything in 1879. The whole city was rebuild afterwards in eclectic and art nouveau styles. (The Cathedral was build in the 1920s.)So what you actually can see (except for two historic churches) is not really old (with European standards), however the homogeneous urban space dating from the turning of the 19th and 20th centuries is really unique. I was born in Szeged and as you may imagine, I am a great local patriot. Warm regards, György

Hello Gyorgy, Thanks for referring me to this composition and the brickwork! Indeed, you have some great images! I love the twisted brick pillar, what a wonderful construction! Great tryptich with the collonade and the church. Szeged must be a fine historic city, with so many monuments! Absolutely wonderful. Ina

Nice vertical images to create an interesting tryptich, György.

At this size, I am wishing that the two spires had been corrected for the perspective to get vertical lines, so that they match the other two images.
