Hi Greg,
I agree with the cropping that Michael did. It is a classic situation of elements competing in a image and you have to decide which one needs to be diminished in order to improve the impact of the over all photo. And the sky is more important to me as well.

I like the sky in this image a lot. You might try cropping out some of the foreground rocks to emphasize the dramatic sky. I don't think you'd lose much by cropping the rocks since they don't seem to do a lot for the photo.
