Welcome to UF. I've been here for a little over 5 months and have learned a lot. One problem is, it can get very time consuming wanting to come and look at the new postings, etc.
This is a wonderful shot of this seriuos looking guy.

Thank you for comments Joggie. That's exactly what I was hoping for on this site - have been very fond of photography for ever but lack the finer technical knowledge. I'm a bit of an 'auto mode' junkie and need to know more re manual settings etc. I also do not use Photoshop etc. (yet), what you see here is what you get....

I like the tight crop and good level of detail and colour Shirley. Not sure if it was possible but I would add a bit more DoF - especially on the beak. Otherwise a beautiful image. From my side - welcome to Usefilm. Im sure you will find enough here to get the creative juices flowing (and please dont believe Tjaart outright when he talks about me!).
