Anne,
Thanks for your kind comments. Spent the last hour looking at your portfolio. Your photos show me a strong sense of geometry. I like that.
This one, however, I think is unique. The arch of a torso is formed by the line of the peoples feet. A head can be construed by the food stand and two antennae by the palm trees. Monster sausage! Shadows in the foreground add interesting filler and the boys walking in and out of the frame bother me not at all.
Empty space in the foreground could also be an invitation to the viewer to enter the frame visually (or not).
Classic thirds composition just slightly top heavy (makes it more interesting that way).
I don't know if you conciously thought of it this way and if unconcious it's just that much better.
White trailer behind the stand just a little hot, could be burned down a little. Great decisive moment!

Before I even read the comments and was looking at the photo I was thinking exactly what Jamie stated. Those shadows are hilarious. Looks like the guy to the left is "running away" and I too wish he was either not in the image or that I could see all of him.

Three shadows cast against a curb remind me of a funhouse mirror.
I love the lines and shapes of this composition.
My eye is distracted by the person walking out of the frame on the left.
