I love this picture of the moon, one day I hope to take a picture like this since I do not have the right lens for the job. Beautiful work.

Cool image Mark! The lens seems to work well...I had no idea you could get a shot like this without a telescope. I actually like your original shot the best of the three here...good work!

Successful documentation. Would thank for your comment to the picture >dragon deader <. For me, the Nikon D100 is a very important tool. I never still have wide-angle had such a good, like that of Nikon. It was also not exactly cheap. Regards Gerhard

Really good image. That big ol' lens seems to be working well for you. My "moon shots" are always a study in trying to get the exposure somewhere near right. This one looks great . . . Best wishes, --George

Very well done, Mark. I am "attracted" to the moon myself a lot (thanks for commenting on my moon series), but I am running into the limitations of my 500mm/f8 manual focus mirror lens. I guess even with the 2x view finder, my eyes are getting bad and focus is very hard.
Again, very well done.
Jürgen

Salvatore, much, much better, the sharpening with focus magic is what I was looking for. Here's the original below. Thanks!

Cool, I like moon images. I'd like to see it w/out the grain added as well. I re-did your image with Focus Magic and a resize in Photoshop, what do you think? Sal
